Clueless Cops and Clueless Drivers
This really annoys me. It’s when I am driving along a really busy road (like a 4 lane road) and I see that a cop has pulled someone over in the right lane of the street. When I was younger cops used to pull you over and if you were dumb enough to stop on a busy street they would have you turn on the next side street or pull into a parking lot or a driveway of a business on the same road. I’m not talking having to drive miles either to turn off. I’m talking like 50 feet or so.
It’s dangerous, and it’s really stupid. I don’t understand why they do this now. It’s like they were never taught to pull people onto a side street or into a driveway or parking lot. Why would you create a traffic jam and purposely put yourself in more danger by parking on a busy street and giving a ticket?
Whenever I’ve been pulled over if I have the opportunity to drive another 50 feet or so to turn off and then stop I do. Every time I’ve done so I was thanked for getting out of traffic. Never was I questioned on why I didn’t stop more quickly.
Whatever……I guess……

LED tail lights
I gotta tell ya, these newer cars with LED tail lights are getting annoying. Tonight I was behind a Toyota RAV4 with LED tail lights. They were so bright that I had to put my sun visor down until the light turned green. It was about 6:20pm so it was completely dark. I’ve seen these same tail lights on tractor trailers running on the turnpike. They are way too bright. When they are just on they look like the brakes are applied. When the brakes are applied they look blindingly bright. I think they are a neat type of light but they can be dimmed down by putting thicker or more defused plastic in the tail light. They sure as heck don’t need to be as bright as they are.

YouTube – thinking of switching
I’m seriously considering switching over to YouTube and doing video blogs. Seems cool and seems like it would be fun. Now I just have to get a decent webcam.
I think YouTube was a genius idea. I truly hope that it makes TV more competitive. People are tired of watching all the long commercials and all the extra crap they don’t have to. If I watch CSI on DVD it is only 38-42 minutes long. This means that whenever I watch it on TV that I’m wasting 20 minutes of my life on advertisements. At least (for now) at YouTube you can watch stuff that people want to post and you want to see.
I swear, TV is going to be dead soon. Soon, everyone will have fat enough pipes to download whatever shows they want (legally) off the Internet and watch them when they want and not when the station says you have to.
I hope Google and YouTube keep kicking butt and taking names. I am slowly becoming a fan of Google. For a long time however I saw them as ‘big brother’. I still do to an extent, but I don’t think they are the worst.
Regardless, people like to see other people doing real life things. Sometimes we like to see sitcoms and movies but for the most part we like to see people that are just like us. At least, I’m tired of seeing all these high paid stars walking around like their poop don’t stink.
So, I think, shortly, I’ll be moving my ‘blog’ over to YouTube.
Weeeeeeee……
