Drive Right
The United States needs a law like parts of Europe have. DRIVE RIGHT. That means drive while keeping to the right unless you are passing someone.
Why is it every day that I drive home from work or anywhere for that matter that there are always a bunch of morons driving in the far left lane? They are not passing anyone. They are just driving out there going the speed limit or less. Everytime I seem someone doing this there is not anyone in the center or right lane that is stopping them from being able to get out of the left lane.
I don't like to speed but I do like to drive the speed limit or 5 MPH over the limit. Why do people drive in the left lane for miles? Why don't we have a law prohibiting this?

Thanks Brian
Thanks to my buddy Brian I now have a cell phone to use for the next 5 months until my contract is up. He had an extra one sitting around that he was going to get rid of so he gave it to me, free of charge. He only asked that I supply him with some chocolate chip cookies. I got it activated this afternoon and am now using it. Thanks Brian!
I've not yet decided if I'm going to stay with Verizon after my contract is up in 5 months or just go with Sprint. Other than this current fiasco, I've had great luck with Verizon.

Cell phone drama
Cell phone companies suck. So I've had this Verizon phone for almost 2 years now. I dropped it about 3 months ago and broke the antenna. I used JB Weld and secured the antenna back on and it's been fine for 3 months. Today it stopped working. The phone just says "Service Required" on it.
I visit the local Verizon store to have them tell me that I'm screwed and that I just need to buy a new phone. That's fine. I ask if I can just start a new contract and get a free phone. They tell me no, because my current contract is not up until November. So rather than keep me for another 2 years they would rather screw me over and make me wait. So my only options are either pay full retail for a phone (which I will not do) or wait until September to get into a new plan.
This is total bull. After spending over 40 minutes on the phone with Verizon customer service (it should be called Verizone customer irratation) I find that the best they can do for me is $138.00 for a new phone and car charger.
I however can go to Sprint's website and sign up right now online and get a free phone and have the setup fee waived.
I wish someone would take the screw job to the large cell phone companies because I freaking hate them. All they ever do is screw the little guy. I've also been screwed over by Cingular Wireless which is why I moved to Verizon.
What do I have to do move to Sprint and then wait to be screwed by them too? Damn this makes me mad.
So right now I have a busted LG-6100 that I can't do anything with. I can't get a new phone unless I pay about $140. What's wrong with this picture? I thought I was the customer? I think I'm never going to do a cell phone contract again. Screw them.
Bottom Line, I'm not going to have a cell phone for the next 5 months. I guess I'll just get used to being old school.

How do people get along without a knife?
Why don’t people use knives? Why are people so afraid of knives?
I’ve been into collecting and using knives for about 2 years now. I use my knives for utility. I use them as the tools as they are designed to be. I also admire their beauty and craftsmanship. I like to learn about the different types of blade steel and I like to read about sharpening angles among other things.
I don’t understand why people are so afraid of knives? I watch people daily rip through packages with their keys or their teeth or even screwdrivers. Why? We are civilized and intellegent. Man made tools to help him get jobs done. The knife is one such tool. Forbes magazine even held the knife in the top 20 most important things ever. You can make other tools with a knife. You can whittle. You can slice food. You can sharpen pencils, you can cut thread. You can open boxes, mail, packages, etc. Why would anyone not want to use a knife? What if you ever needed a knife in an emergency? I mean like you get in an accident and you need to slice your seatbelt to get out of your car? What are you going to do unless you have a knife? What if your car is on fire or ready to catch on fire? What if you need to cut your child out of the car seat to remove them quickly?
I think of these things daily and I wonder how “normal” folks get along without a knife.
I carry a knife in my pocket every day. I also have a spare in my car fastened to the sun visor in case I need to cut my seatbelt in a hurry.
People need to quit being afraid of tools that can help them. I would never think of using my knife as a weapon. My knife is a tool, and a good friend.

Idiots Driving
So, I’m driving home from work yesterday and it’s raining. It’s not rained in a while. People are driving like it’s the first time they’ve ever seen rain before. Freaking morons jamming on their brakes for no reason and going 49 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.
People are freakin’ retarded I tell ya. I just don’t get ‘em.
Why is it also that when you come upon a bridge that’s pretty high up that people slow down and get all sketchy? It’s a bridge, it’s not like you have to drive through lava or something.
